Mobile Zones/Victim Notification

The TetherTrack™ system can create a mobile exclusion zone for any cellular phone in the program. The mobile zones are then added to the offender’s exclusion zone list and notification procedures, giving the agency information about contact between offenders. Mobile zones are especially useful for gang control programs.

By utilizing a special version of the TRU App, victims can be given a cellular phone and enrolled in TetherTrack with a mobile exclusion zone. Now, in addition to static exclusion zones around the victim’s home and work, any place the victim is can be an exclusion zone. Notification can be sent to both the agency and the victim’s cellular phone. Mobile zones can also help prevent incidental contact between a victim and offender, a potentially dangerous situation that before now could not be anticipated.

 

BYOP (Bring Your Own Phones)

Although Lares can provide all the field equipment necessary for a complete turnkey GPS offender tracking program of any size, an agency may want to obtain cellular phones on an existing contract to lower costs. In this case, Lares can provide just the BTX, TRU App and TetherTrack™ Monitoring System. Lares will work with the agency’s cellular provider to ensure that the correct plan is in place and the phones are provisioned properly.
